Beyond the Genome 2013

Genome Biology, along with its sister journal Genome Medicine hosted the fourth, annual Beyond The Genome conference in San Francisco in early October. It was an exciting and interactive conference and highlights were the methodological and medical advances made in the single cell field, from scientists such as Stephen Quake and the challenges facing the cancer genomics community with regard to data and privacy, as discussed by David Haussler.

We are already busy planning next year’s event, which will see us return to the Harvard Medical School in Boston, as a venue.

In the meantime, we invite all attendees from this year’s conference to take advantage of a 15% discount on the article-processing charges for published articles in all BioMed Central journals including Genome Biology and Genome Medicine. This offer is available until 31 December 2013.

We look forward to seeing you again in Boston next fall!
